At Home With Julia is a four-part Australian sitcom television series which debuted on 7 September 2011. It depicts a fictional representation of the relationship between the current Prime Minister of Australia, Julia Gillard (Amanda Bishop) and her partner, Tim Mathieson (Phil Lloyd) in The Lodge.
The series is a 2012 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTA Awards) nominee for Best Television Comedy Series.[1] Criticised by several social commentators as inappropriate,[2] the show proved very popular both with television audiences - becoming the most watched Australian scripted comedy series of 2011[3] - and with television critics.[4]
